Alfonso D'Estes is a new brand for us this season and it was, in all seriousness, the longest unboxing and check in we've ever had because each and every hat that came out required oohing and aahing and a great deal of gushing. These caps are outstanding.

This linen newsboy cap has a luxurious nubby texture and a soft hand. The color is an elegant off-white with golden brown and black plaid. And this is why we love these European caps - the  perfectly aligned panels really show off the technical mastery of the manufacturer.

The shape is a modern newsboy cap - it's not as full bodied as a traditional newsboy, with more fitted sides and no flop. There's a separation between the brim and the body of the hat, which is sewn down (no snap) and has a slightly curved bill. Constructed in 8-panels with the classic button on top, this shape has a tailored, updated fit while holding on to the spirit of the Gatsby era newsboy.

  • 8-panel modern newsboy cap
  • 2" brim depth
  • 74% linen/26% polyamid
  • cotton lined
  • cloth sweatband
  • made in Italy
